About the event
We learn Anishinaabemowin words and phrases that make up the lyrics to a song and practice them until we are able to collaborate on singing the song in a variety of interactive and fun ways. This helps develop phonelogical awareness which aids in pronunciation. Interactive games between participants helps develop listening skills, comprehension, and responsiveness. The repetitive nature of our activities create ample opportunity for natural memorization of the phonetics of each of the words and phrases.
