About the event

These individual or group language learning sessions are interactive and a great opportunity to practice our speaking skills together. The immersion experience is rooted in being immersed in hearing and using Anishinaabemowin throughout a given activity. This is more involved than the Language Immersion Practice sessions because we will be involved and immersed in an activity that will provide us with in-context language learning (the Language Immersion session(s) can build from the Language Immersion Practice sessions and supplement it as a sort of practicum component of the language acquisition process). We will more easily associate repetitive words with the corelated actions which provides a Total Physical Response (TPR) learning opportunity. We learn words and phrases for the first part of each session and focus on practice, review and repetition for the second half.
