Here, you learn the basics of Anishinaabemowin including the alphabet and writing system, and with simple words and phrases to practice. We learn introductions and basic routine conversational expressions.

About the event
These classes are usually best with 10 - 30 participants which allows for the most interaction. The key point in any Anishinaabemowin classes is to facilitate repetition. Speaking and listening are both reinforcers to learning which we do after a brief explanation in english about what we will be practicing together. Some people are more comfortable just listening which is acceptable but keep in mind we need to exercise our Anishinaabemowin muscles which differ from those used to from english words.
